A Big Day

February 27, 2009

As I anticipated the end of 2008, I knew the new year would involve the start of Life 2.0, but I hadn’t anticipated everything that it would entail. And how important today would be.

I am thrilled to say today that I am transitioning out of my consulting job and will be working full-time on our workshop business by April 1. I’ve been at this particular job for 13 years and it’s been good to me. But it’s time to move on…I have been doing corporate communications and PR for more than 30 years. We’ll spend the next few weeks telling staff and clients, so it’s not public. But I gave my 30 days notice. Today.

Let me say that again: I QUIT MY JOB TODAY!!! (Can you tell I’m happy?)

Today is also a big day for a favorite client and friend, who finalized a major deal, years in the making. I’m really excited for him and the team that made it happen. He’s actually been a good teacher for me, demonstrating how patience, endurance and a sharp focus on the ultimate goal can pay off. Plus faith. Lots of faith. He’s a great guy. I hope this means that he and his family will have some much-deserved down time and that he can wake up happy and without a black cloud over his head every day from here on out.

February 27, 2009. A big day.
