A wood stove

October 15, 2009

Diana tells us that a new wood stove is going in the sitting room of “our” suite at Baur B&B.

Something we will love when we return next October. And something that’s symbolic about the warmth and comfort that emanates from Baur B&B.

The mark of a good vacation is that we keep talking about it. I wish you all a vacation this wonderful. This intimate. This restful.

If you want to step off the beaten path and regenerate, Baur’s the place. If you want a romantic, private retreat, it’s the place.

Every day, M. will say something about the wonderful atmosphere Diana and Micha have established. Or about one of the two of them. They’re interesting people who have chosen an interesting path.

Diana and I met online five years ago and this was our first actual meeting. We made a strong connection. Both of Italian-American descent. Not the same age, but close enough. Both former corporate execs. Creatively bent. And both on the road less traveled.

M. and I love the space they created and want to make sure we get there next year when the weather is cold enough to use the wood stove.

Baur B&B really left its mark on us and we can’t wait to go back.
