Real actors doing a cold reading

I love the arts and especially love my association with 3  Girls Theatre in San Francisco.*  Good writing is always a pleasure, and good acting is even more so.

The other Sunday, a group of actors, directors and other theatre folks gathered to cold read plays that will be performed this December as part of 3 Girls’ Holiday Showcase.

Of course, I had my favorites, the ones that made me howl with laughter. And then there were plays that were terribly well-written and I bowed in admiration of the playwright’s skill with dialogue.

Theatre people are not only dramatic, but they’re friendly and get 30+ of them in an apartment and it’s quite a party.
