Bathing beauties 21st century style

April 30, 2013

I saw these sculptures in a San Francisco gallery last month.

She sat in the window posing for tourists, looking as real as can be.

And from the back, just as lovely.

Disembodied and a bit disturbing, to tell the truth.

I loved her. Floating perfectly on an inner tube, maybe down a flowing river.

This was exceptionally realistic. I loved it, but you’d have to have some big-ass cabana as a backdrop because you can’t just place it anywhere.

Curious–what do you think of these sculptures? Especially you artists.

Very realistic sculptures but for me they just look like a mannequins and not art!

Awesome, I love them too…..but agree, you’d need a really large space to be able to do them justice in your home.
