Are you too busy to get to the business of life?

business-of-life

Yes, I’m talkin’ to you! Inquiring minds want to know!

By the time you get to midlife, life gets kind of…cluttered.

If you’ve got kids there’s all the associated duties–school activities if they’re still younger, babysitting grandkids if they’re older.

There are the friends you made when the kids were in school and those friends you keep meaning to set a lunch date with.

Maybe there’s work or maybe there are those committees you’ve served on for years.

There’s the business of life and there’s the busy-ness of it.

They’re just not the same.  Maybe it’s time to cull.

So today, at Boomeon, I’m talking about the difference between the busy-ness of life and the real business of it.  Come on over and comment and/or share there, as the spirit moves you, rather than here.

And don’t you just LOVE this bird?

I know. Maybe we should start a “cute birds” movement. I love dogs and kittens, but everyone posts them. But birds? Not so much.

Just sayin’. The link for Boomeon is a few lines above. I hope you’ll click it and comment there.

  1. I need these reminders on a daily basis. And I love the weaning friends advice. I just don’t have time for high maintenance, you know?

  2. Such good advice, Carol. I always think of my grandmother and how she could genuinely enjoy just sitting and looking out the window. I aspire to be like she was!

I will definitely check it out as I am working to refine my life to be less busy and more efficient with my time so that I can do digital detox as well.

  4. Janie Emaus says:

This came at the perfect time. I spent the entire day with my husband, strolling through the mall, buying clothes, eating..watching, being. A day without any responsibilities and it felt great!

I do love photos of dogs but bird photos do rock, don’t they? Going to Boomeon to read — darn you for peaking my interest!
