Have you ever wanted to connect with a loved one on the other side without using a medium? Or maybe even talk with the Divine, yourself?
I know, it sounds pretty far out, doesn’t it? Maybe you can’t entertain even the idea of it. I understand that. I’m a pretty big skeptic, myself.
Still, many people — including skeptics — have found this to be possible through something called channeling.
No, you won’t speak in strange voices. But you CAN receive messages directly from the other side. Yourself, without a third party.
It happened to me spontaneously
I found out for myself that this was possible when I received clear telepathic messages from my father one day. It was spontaneous and unexpected. It blew me away. Completely. I called my husband and babbled on and on.
“I am not sure what happened,” he said, later. “But from the sound of your voice, something big.” He was right. It was so big that my belief that there is something more than this life amped up big time. It changed my life, and, I believe, it was meant to.
Later, I learned that I could purposely ask for and receive messages, myself, via a form of self-hypnosis. And you can, too.
But it can happen purposely
Not that long ago, I was lucky enough to be in a channeling workshop given by the therapist, hypnotherapist and very well-regarded Matthew McKay, PhD. He learned the same thing I did after the murder of his 23-year-old son, when he and his wife wanted badly to know where their son was. Most of us who suffer a loss have that same question: Where did they go? I know I did. Dr. McKay took it a step further: he wanted to communicate with his son.
His book, Seeking Jordan, recounts his efforts to find a way to connect with his son on the other side, his doubts and what he believes to be his successes. It’s a beautifully written, slim volume that I highly recommend. Yes, Amazon affiliate link there. If you’re thinking that maybe he is just a parent desperate to make contact with his son on the other side and making this stuff up, well, he addresses that in his book.
If you’d like to do this, yourself, let me teach you how via Skype in my new offering: Connect with the Other Side: Learn to Channel. Take a look at my site and if you’d like to learn to channel for yourself, purchase a Learn To Channel session (which includes a guided channeling) and then email me at Carol@ahealingspirit.org to schedule. Or you can email at any time with questions. If you’d like me to guide you in a session without learning to do it yourself, purchase a Channeling Session.
I won’t channel for you, but I will guide you so you can do it yourself.
Oh if you’re intrigued but on the fence, you might want to view this interview with Dr. McKay –once very much a believer in materialist science (and one of the least likely people to believe in woo-woo) and now, communicating regularly with his son on the other side.

It’s all a bit out of my comfort zone I’m afraid Carol. I know several people who are very positive about it and have had amazing experiences, but I think I’ll just continue to sit on the sidelines and watch (and there’s no one on the other side I feel the need to speak to just yet anyway!)
I’m listening to Dr. McKay now. It’s just so heartbreaking to lose someone like that and I understand how he says, “I just wasn’t ready to let him go.” It’s fascinating. I’m always open to the other worldly. I should be just as open to people with other viewpoints on so many other things! What’a remarkable about Dr. McKay is how happy he is in this video. He just feels so connected to his loved one and not so flatly disconnected, which is, I think, the source of the pain of loss.
Hi Carol! You know I believe in all this woo-woo stuff! I do believe that we all have access to inner and unknown realms so I congratulate you on helping others find that guidance. It’s so easy to be convinced that only things we can see are “real” that we often forget that there is so much more to life than that. Thanks for the reminders! ~Kathy
Thanks so much for the reading suggestion. I’ve just downloaded it on my Kindle. xo

I so believe in this! I’ve felt impressions from my mother from the other side. And I know I’ve seen my grandfather. I feel they are very close to us and concerned about us. I wait for spiritual direction for most of my big decisions. Love this!
My heart and mind are forever open. This concept, this idea, this reality confuses and comforts me all at once. I’m not yet ready, though I know that day will come. I want so very much to believe in it for all the right reasons. Are there any wrong ones? Thanks for the sharing of this, Carol.
I’ve never actually sought to connect with a loved one who has passed but I have had experience of things which appear to be a coincidence and yet my gut feeling is that they are “messages” from beyond the grave.
I never really believed in all that medium stuff to be honest. Not until I went down south for work. I met a medium who was so talented and knew stuff about me for days until she finally came out and said she was one.
Wow, this was amazing to read. This sort of thing amazes me – I never have experienced something like this or really have heard of anyone experiencing it either, so it’s awesome to here about.

Love this! We can learn so much when we pay attention.A lot of people have helped themselves and others thru channeling.

Yes, I think more and more people are seeing this, Kathy.

It’s ok if it didn’t. I loved his story. I loved meeting him. And loved his guidance of me in my own channeling.

This was a very interesting read. I’ve never thought about teaching myself to do anything like this before. I’d love to try it.

No wrong reasons. Ever. I hear you, girl.
I miss my family so much. But I speak for them. Is it channeling? I won’t say no.
I say yes!
This is a very interesting topic. I believe in stuff like this, but I never imagined myself doing this.
I’ve never actually sought to connect with a loved one who has passed but I have had experience of things which appear to be a coincidence and yet my gut feeling is that they are “messages” from beyond the grave.
I like the thought. Is it really possible to connect with your loved ones? How can it be possible.
It really takes a truly deep connection to make this happen. It is brilliant.
It can be heartbreaking to lose someone you love. I can imagine that being able to hear from them again would give loved ones a sense of peace.
I’ve always said it’s not my thing. I wasn’t a believer but after watching Tyler the Medium I’m curious.
I’m on the fence about contacting people from “beyond”. I guess I need to check someone out for myself!!
I personally have not experienced this firsthand. It is something that I am not really interested in trying to do it.
I’ve had some “weird” experiences in my life and they’ve pushed me away from all things occult. This does sound interesting though.

I’m a complete sceptic, but I do find it interesting to hear about other people’s beliefs and experiences.
As such a practical person, I would find it difficult to do this. But I think you are brilliant and spiritual just the right vessel for this.
