Chaos and change

February 28, 2013
Boy, is this true.
You’d never know it by my surroundings,
but I’m someone who likes a little bit of order in life.
At the same time, like most creative people, I like to shake it up a bit.
Yes, I know, these seem contradictory, right?
I’ve found that when things get crazy and a bit chaotic,
when I’m squirming with discomfort and railing against circumstance,
something great comes out the other side.
Chaos can be
a great motivator,
a catalyst,
a springboard to something new,
a flame that ignites a fire under us.
So, if your life seems chaotic,
I say “embrace it!”
and use it to propel yourself
into something new and wonderful.

Boy howdy I so understand this concept. Life really is all about change. Sometimes it’s faster then others which makes us very uncomfortable. So learning to live with that can be a good thing. 🙂

  2. Boy howdy is right! But you know, our parents’ generation seemed to have far less tolerance for it. Stability was everything to them.

  3. A good message to hear and hear again. Thank you!

I think we women, in particular, thrive on chaos. It often seems to bring out the best of us!

  5. Next time when things get hectic, I’ll remember to hold on for what is going to follow!!!

  6. I am a hater of Chaos and feel the need to have it resolved immediately. Sometimes TOO fast!

What ever works! I like to look at every encounter with a person, location or experience as something I can use in my creative process rather than chaos.
