Choosing to break free

May 31, 2011

The dawn of each brings us a fresh opportunity to choose how we live.

We can stay stuck in old patterns; define ourselves in ways that have outlived their usefulness. {If ever they were.}

Or we can choose to transcend the past, reach out and embrace new ways.

Once stuck, it seems like so much effort to break free.

But think of the last time you saw a car stuck in the snow or mud.
Is it still there?
Probably not.
The driver found a way to pull it out.
Maybe alone, maybe with some help.

If we’re stuck in our lives, it may seem easier to stay there.

But with just a little effort,
and perhaps a little help,
we can pull free and move forward again.

Go ahead. Try it.
