Collage, mixed media and neon art

August 25, 2012
Douglas De Vivo/Jenner, Calif.
I was visiting with an artist friend the other day
and a beautiful piece on her wall caught my eye.
(Not the one above, which I really, really like.
I’ll be looking fore more from this artist.)
“I love word art!” I told her. “Mixed media and collage especially.”
“So do I,” she said. The piece was her own.
At MOMA in New York City, word art is taken in crazy, fun directions.
Here’s an example of a neon word art piece.
Just a snippet, the poem starts past the video’s actual beginning.
