Connecting with joy

February 10, 2011

“I vow to dance to one song every single day.”

Someone posted that on Facebook a few days ago —
what a great idea!

In the crazy haste of our too-full lives
and yes, the stress and troubles,
it’s easy to forget the happiness of being alive.

It’s hard to be anything but joyful when we’re dancin’.

One song, one dance, each day.

I’m starting today.

How about you?

Great starter songs (for my generation):
Brown Sugar by the Rolling Stones
Dancin’ in the Dark by Bruce Springsteen
Jailhouse Rock by Elvis Presley
Mama Mia or just about anything by Abba

and so many more. What are yours?

And shall we make it a movement?
Spread the word about dancing for joy!
