Cupcake love

September 14, 2010

I love cupcakes.
Sweet, innocent and adorable, they remind me of cute little girls, childhood and happy times.

I love combining the ingredients, mixing up the batter, placing colorful cupcake liners in baking tins, the aroma of batter in the oven, and then, after they’ve cooled, I love to spread the icing.

My favorite? Red velvet. I still remember the tasty batch I made one Christmas Eve, sweetened with cream cheese frosting and love.

And who doesn’t like to eat cupcakes?

We need more sweet, innocent and adorable in our lives.
So to remind us of that, at least for a while and irregularly, I’ll be posting the Cupcake of the Day.

(And Mary, yes, you WERE partly an inspiration since we all wait for you to give us our dessert on Facebook every night!)
