Eclipse eclipsed for our some of our tribe, this time
April 14, 2024
On my way to an eclipse party, I saw a real VW Bug from the old days on the road the other day–an antique! Coincidentally, I was at our East coast house –which happpened to be Ground Zero for the eclipse. But sadly, cloud cover prevented us seeing the actual eclipse. Although we did enjoy the several minutes of darkness in the middle of the afternoon.
So what have our blogging pals been up to?
Meryl
Anniversaries bring to mind memories. An anniversary, not of a marriage, occurred this week, and the event spurred memories of Meryl Baer of Musings of a Shore LIfe’s ‘growing up’ years. She writes about her life then and now in this week’s post, Musings on my youthful past and grown-up present.
Laurie
Yes, there are worse problems in life. But Laurie admits to envy when sitting on a pedicure perch in her local nail salon. The women around her are so relaxed and blasé. They talk on their phones. They laugh among themselves. Meanwhile, Laurie’s on high alert. Her tootsies are (to put it charitably)…sensitive. So why does she get pedicures? Well, because they’re pretty, of course. But there are several grueling challenges she must endure…
Rebecca
April is when the United States celebrates Earth Day Month. There are many things individuals can do to make our planet a better place to live in for all of us. Rebecca Olkowski, with BabyBoomster.com lists a few of them.
Rita
Food marketers are jumping in on a new trend, the “anti-diet” movement, and through dietitian influencers, are encouraging people to give up on their diets and more healthy eating, leading to gaining back lost weight and increasing obesity. Read all about it on Rita R. Robison, consumer and personal finance’s journalist’s blog.

Thanks, Carol! Always fun to see what people wrote.
Thanks for helping me get in the swing of things. Really enjoyed all your posts.
I loved all the posts. I didn’t see anything happening with the eclipse here in LA, unfortunately. It would have been cool.
