Elizabeth Taylor: we’ll miss you

March 23, 2011
Elizabeth just glows in this photograph with the love of her life, Richard Burton.
She looks like she was at the happiest stage of her life.
It’s how I’d like to remember her.
That laugh. That mature beauty.
And that love that transcended time and place.

Liz was a beautiful, sensual creature who lived and loved her own way.

She loved as much as anyone possibly could.
She gave as much as anyone could possibly give.
She worked as hard as anyone could possibly work.
Maybe harder.

She earned honors for her work and her philanthropy.

She laughed with joy, cried with heartbreak and grief.

Elizabeth lived a full life.

She was, unarguably, one of a kind.
A woman for this century, last century and every century to come.

Rest peacefully, Dame Elizabeth. You’ve earned it.
We’ll miss you.

An iconic beauty, always.
