Good list of ways to improve your attitude to life! Thank you. D is for Dogged Determination #Build a Better Blog
I recently started volunteering at the nursing home. It seems to fill my soul that felt a little empty since I have retired. Between that and helping out with grandbabies I think I will be ok.
Good reminders to keep it simple!
I LOVE this! So many of us rarely take the time to really enjoy our lives. We’re so consumed with money and other material things that we forget to just enjoy the air we’re breathing.
It feels so, so good to give. I give to every person I see at the store or at the corner stop who’s asking for money for good causes. It feels good to know I’m helping.
Why did I get so emotional while reading this? This really made me feel good. Thank you!
Wonderful list, Carol! I would add:
Don’t go to bed angry.
Embrace the little things.
Be kind to yourself.
See # 3 on yours and mine!
Beautiful words. I would add to be kind to others and to one’s self. We tend to be very hard on ourselves. This was a good encouraging post! thanks for sharing
This is such a wonderful list. I like the idea of charity, in no matter which term one can do but one should, it really is satisfying!! Thanks for sharing.
Prefect. I would only add:
Don’t sweat the small stuff (Note: It’s all small stuff!)
What a cool blog! I like this! I love the list, and appreciate the gift packages you offer.
Thanks, Amber!
yes! i’m always in need of ways to just kick back and enjoy life even more. thanks for the inspiration!
Your tips are very important and I do give back and tell my family I love them so I feel good about that. I still have to let myself eat dessert even though I will feel guilty.
My friend Randy once told me I was wishing my life away by living in the future instead of the moment. I’ll never forget what he said: Enjoy your life…every minute of it. I am guilty of not living in the moment, that’s for sure. One of the ways I stay in the present is to sit on the beach at sunset and watch the waves roll in. Perks of being a mermaid. Thanks for sharing! Thought provoking for sure!
This is a great list. Forgive when forgiveness isn’t easy is one that I tend to cling to.
Love my husband, my children. Read good books. Garden. Write and write some more. Be grateful. Thanks.
What a great list. I always take a step back when I’m feeling stressed or upset about something to remind myself we only live once!
This is a great list. It’s really the simple things that make life great.
I love this list. Being kind to both ourselves and others is the key I think. Another thing that I have done forever is when I am out I smile at as many people I can and see how many smiles I get back. Some people give me the stink eye but most people’s faces light up! It makes me feel happy.
Perfect. Enjoying life is so much more simple than we all seem to make it.
So so true. I have been stopping to just enjoy the little moments.
You are a sharp shooter; you get straight tot he point. You admonish your audience to stand for something, and rightly so. It is important because then your life will have a focus. Your life will count for something.
I love this! I think we often make happiness too complicated. We compare our happiness to others and think that we have to have what others have to be happy. We don’t! Happiness is a lot simpler than we often think.
I love everything on your list! Agree with all these!
I’m not sure I could add to that list Carol I think you have covered it all. I totally love your thoughtful packages for grief or healing and the cards are so inspirational. xx
This is a great but simple list. If I had to add to this list of simplicity, eat delicious organic fruits and vegetables. You would be surprised how raw food can boost your happiness and life.
I wouldn’t add anything else, except I’d pet the cat instead of the dog! Be kind to ourselves sometimes is hard! Must try harder!
It’s hard for my to fully enjoy my life right now. But, thanks for your tips. I will always keep these things in mind. Maybe I should be more positive about myself and about life.
Beautiful post. I would add:
Go with the flow.
Easier said than done, but would make your life easier and more enjoyable.
What simple reminders yet very meaningful! I think we tend to forget to see the little things often makes the huge differences in our lives. Thank you for the gentle reminders!
I love reading motivating pieces like this. Very inspiring and thought-provoking, nothing else to add! 🙂
All of these are right on target. I’m not really sure which one I like the best. I think if we love ourselves, crime and depression would go do, we would love others as well, and the world would be a better place!
All wonderful. Especially love ‘pet the cat or dog!’
