Equal time

Since I posted about my high school, I think it’s only fair that I show you the logo for my husband’s high school.

While we are from the same “hometown” of Rochester, NY, I was a suburban girl, raised in the lily-white town of East Irondequoit.

He, on the other hand, was a “city” boy, and attended Charlotte High School. That’s why their logo is so unsavory.

We were “The Lancers.” They were…well, more unsavory. In 2006, the school was on the list of NY’s “most dangerous schools.”

But it wasn’t always that way. Maybe one day he’ll guest blog about it.

Charlotte was perceived as closer to Lake Ontario but our school wasn’t all that far away from the Lake, either. It’s just that Charlotte was more a beach neighborhood and Irondequoit more a suburb.
