Getting through these trying times

November 14, 2014

worry peopleThese are trying times, can’t deny it.

From the look of social media posts and blogs, so many of us are horrified at the violence and disease we see around us and feel helpless–what can WE possibly do to against forces that evil or that dangerous?

Well, it turns out, there’s lots we can do and none of it is heavy lifting.  That’s my topic today over at Boomeon–a fabulous site with content aimed at Baby Boomers, but really applicable and of interest to everyone.

If you don’t know Boomeon, you should!

Come on over by clicking HERE–and I’d love to hear your comments there–and any shares you’re inclined to do.  You can do social shares without signing up on the Boomeon site.

Thank you!

  3. You’re so right. Seems now that the financial woes that began in 2008 are starting to fade, all the other horrors have heightened. It never ends.

    Headed over to Boomeon. 😀

  4. I’ve seen Boomeon, but I don’t always get over there daily. Thanks for the invitation to scoot over there. Love those worry dolls! That’s a fun twist on that tradition.

I find that a simple act of kindness can get me through a day. Nothing makes me feel better than doing something for someone else.

You had me at Desmond Tutu. I met him once, actually spent an entire day with him. He is an amazing man. Amazing.

  8. Like you, I’d like to believe there is a ripple effect when we do an act of kindness. Love the quote.
