Gift suggestions

December 5, 2009

One of the great things about the blogosphere is that people share all sorts of great information. Like their favorite shops and stuff.

I thought I’d share a few things I’d like to find under my tree, and maybe someone on your own list would also appreciate them.

I love “word art.” Everyone and their brother seems to offer a calendar. This adorable calendar is being sold by an artist in her online Etsy shop and I am simply going to have to order one today. In fact, I just did. It comes with its own clipboard, perfect for hanging in my new kitchen or office. Find it here:

Fortunately, we have a house big enough for several calendars. Because at our age, you can never have enough reminders of what day it is. What month. And for that matter, what YEAR. (Enough said.)

And go figure. I am hardly a delicate flower, but I have a taste for these delicate necklaces. I love the unique design of the turquoise piece. And I love little charms grouped together.

I found these being offered by Stella & Dot on www.stelladot.com. Maybe I’ll get one for Valentine’s Day. Or my birthday.

Yes, yes, I love the little blue Tiffany boxes M. gives me. But I like these just as well.

What’s that? You say we gave ourselves a killer trip to Scotland and Ireland for next year’s birthdays? The one where we’re staying in castles? Now I remember. Well, you know, these are reasonably priced enough to get “just because.”
