Gratitude Friday ~ play

January 15, 2010

I love to laugh and the reason I laugh is that I play.

Having fun is a priority in my life and being playful is something I have in common with my best friends.

It’s fun to laugh long and hard with people you love. It both creates and reflects the bond of deep friendship.

It’s much easier to laugh and play when things are going well in your life. When you don’t face insurmountable challenges to health, to financial security, to well-being.

I’m grateful today for the ability to laugh and to play. And all that goes with it. God has been incredibly good to me, and I’m thankful. Pure, happy laughter is as necessary as air.

Because, as we all know, Jimmy Buffett was right: if we couldn’t laugh, we WOULD all go insane.
