November 25, 2013

banging horse2Oh, those fun-loving Hindus! They carried the concept of “if you can’t be with the one you love, love the one you’re with” to a whole new level.

Yes, you’re seeing carvings from the Kama Sutra. Our guide said this:

“The artists depicted daily life as it was, then.”

I forgot about those. We had an 87 year old textile expert with us, a diminutive 5’2″, wisp of a lady who I think, examined these panels by far the longest.

  2. horny buggers weren’t they? if not doing it, they were making art of it! 🙂

  3. They are all delightful..and a lovely reminder that sex is nothing new. We’ve been enjoying it, with abandon at some points, for centuries!

  4. Doreen McGettigan says:

I need a chiropractic just from twisting my neck trying to see were all the parts originated and went too. I need a cigarette and a nap.

  5. Whew, wore me out just looking at it.

  6. Boomer Tuber says:

we might not have invented it, but …

Ummm. Wow. Maybe should wait till at home and not in internet cafe to blow up those pics! Amazing detail in the carving. And very interesting in contrast to the arranged marriage procedures.
