(One with an ice cream maker and one without!)

My wonderful bestie used lemons from our trees to make a yummy, creamy lemon ice cream. Since folks were anxious for the recipe, I asked her for it. Here it is! No need for an ice cream maker.

If you have an ice cream machine:

Zest a lemon
(Preferably a Meyer lemon from tree in San Jose)
Juice it
Mix well with :
1cup sugar
1 cup milk
1 cup whipping cream

Put all into small electric ice cream machine which will give you a creamy dessert in less than
30 mins

The resulting yummy lemon ice cream

If you do NOT have an ice cream maker:

The original recipe calls for you to whip the cream
Fold in the other well mixed ingredients
Put all in a loaf pan
And place in your freezer for at least six hours.

This works, and is even easier.

I hope you enjoy your lemon ice cream as much as we did!

Oh, and I’ll bet it works for oranges and limes, too!
