Life is a series of new beginnings

July 10, 2012

Endings are as normal as beginnings, and in fact, they’re  a prerequisite.

Whether it’s a job, a relationship, a dream–life is replete with…let’s call them opportunities…to let go. To finish the chapter, close the book and put it on the shelf.

A full life is full of new beginnings, and that means some things must end and sometimes not well. Certainly not always without pain.

Pain is unpleasant, to say the least. Sometimes we try to cover up the pain or pretend we don’t feel it when we do.

When it’s time for something to end, it’s healthy to feel the pain, go through the grief–grief and loss are some of those things that we can’t easily get around, we just have to walk through them. And that’s the truth.

Then, and only then, will we be ready to embrace the possibilities that come along with that new beginning.
