James Lipton is almost 90 now (can you believe it?), but he’s still hosting Inside the Actors Studio interviews and I still love the questions he asks of the actors he interviews. I consider them great life questions, actually. So, taking the idea from a fellow blogger, I thought I’d take a stab at pretending Lipton was interviewing me and asking his famous questions.
Banksy.
1. What is your favorite word?
Peace.
2. What is your least favorite word?
Execrable.
3. What Turns You On?
Sunshine, lollipops and rainbows. Oh, and flowers. Beautiful, colorful flowers.
4. What Turns You Off?
Dishonesty with self or others.
5. What Sound Do You Love?
Most music from the Sixties.
6. What Sound Do You Hate?
Riley barking at other dogs.
7. What Is Your Favorite Curse Word?
Shit.
8. What profession other than yours would you like to attempt?
Professional singer. Or lawyer. But I wouldn’t want to go to boring law school.
9. What profession other than yours would you not like to attempt?
Dental hygienist.
10. If heaven exists, what would you like to hear God say when you arrive at the pearly gates?
“That was your last incarnation, you’re ready to move on to the big leagues. But if you like, you can do your last life all over again, just for fun.”
How about you? Why not pick your favorite question–or a few–and answer them in the comments?
Unbelievable–I wanted to take my LSAT’s but thought I might not pass, and I dream of being a prof. singer ( so I live vicariously through my daughter–bad mommy) and I end up writing. I knew we were hindered spirits. And yes, I’d do this life over….fun idea!!
He is our favorite interviewer, the one he did with Robin Williams was epic and golden. I love to answer questions about myself, but I change so much. Except my favorite curse word is bastard. I say it at least once a day….
Here you’ll find my blog, some of my essays, published writing, and my solo performances. There’s also a link to my Etsy shop for healing and grief tools offered through A Healing Spirit.
I love comments, so if something resonates with you in any way, don’t hesitate to leave a comment on my blog. Thank you for stopping by–oh, and why not subscribe so you don’t miss a single post?

And Lisa brought us together!
I LOVE this idea. I’ve always loved his interviews. They are so much more interesting that most interviews you ever get to read or see.
And I enjoyed your answers? Are lollipops really one of your favorite things? I’d have never guessed that.
Well, you know, they ARE…then again, a dozen donuts also rank up there…
I love this, and it totally reminded me that I did this once too! http://midlifeattheoasis.com/life-as-i-see-it/self/inside-bloggers-studio/
I love watching this show too! He always has such great questions and you did a great job answering them!
Great questions. I would pick #8 and i would become a food historian with a phd in the field!
