Me: who I am

November 25, 2016

me
Hello to all my new Facebook friends!

I’m happy to have so many likeminded new people in my life, especially since I’ve transitioned a few out recently. I mean, why cast my pearls before swine when I can be wearing my pearls along with thousands of others who ALSO wear pearls? Oh, I do love you all!

Since you’re here, I thought you might like to know a little about me. The image above pretty well sums me up.

A few other things:

Riley is my almost 10-year-old maltipoo. He’s very, well, possessive. And a big personality. That’s not his photo up above, but it could be. He’s below.

I do travel a lot. Want to go somewhere? Let me know!

Do you fly fish? Because we’ll be fly fishing next October in the Santa Fe area. I’m a beginner, but I love it.

So, tell me about yourself.

I’d love to hear all about who YOU are in the Comments! Thanks so much.

I’m a huge fan of Riley’s and of yours too, Carol. Fellow dog lover and travel buff, here. 🙂 Also a liberal, but of the Canadian variety. We sympathize and share your horror about the outcome of your recent election.

  2. I’m so glad you have discovered some worthy replacements after culling out a few of the less savoury ones! I also loved your description of yourself – I’m going to have to give it some thought about how I’d describe myself in a brief burst like that.

  3. Lisa Deer castellanos says:

Lisa Deer Castellanos from Tampa Bay here. =) dog lover (we have 4 and have fostered a bunch), self employed dog groomer, mom of a 6yo boy (‘they keep you young” my sister w/o kids keeps saying). I’ve been a tree-hugging liberal since I cast a ballot for Ross Perot. I always thought I would run for city council or some local office. I was afraid of the mud-slinging. I don’t have thick enough skin. And in light of recent events I probably did myself a favor was going down the dig groomer path. Be well Carol and happiest of holidays.

  4. Diane says:

So, so happy I made the cut, my friend! Dog lover here. And I also love people, peace, and the past. Sometimes, to find real people and peace, I have to look in the past. Sigh.

  5. Ah Carol, I too am culling. I’m “unfollowing”, and widening my circle of liberal friends. You of course will remain!

  6. Mary Barham says:

I want to go fly fishing so bad!!! May have to go with my sister and brother in law…. since my husband isn’t much of a fisher haha

  7. Your little dog is so cute. I’m Mihaela I blog on adoption, newlywed life, trials and how God is growing me through those seasons. I love writing, singing and encouraging those on their healthy journeys.

  8. I think Riley is too cute! Every time I see him I am reminded of happy memories with my lil terriers. We miss them so much. I agree with everything you are up for except the fishing. I don’t mind sitting and reading or writing while others fish but the actual fishing:(

  9. Andi says:

I’m Andi, I’m a child of God – and I love God and couponing (coupons) more than ANYTHING in the world!

  12. Your fur baby is super cute. I had a 10 year old chihuahua who I had to have put down this summer. He was my baby! I love little dogs but I was so broken up about his passing that I adopted a pitbull instead. Big size difference huh?!

  13. Our Family world says:

What a cute fur baby! I really miss my puppy she’s in my sister. I really love it.

Riley is such a cutie pie! All dogs are possessive and cats are the same! I have a cat and he’s been spreading love and mayhem in our home for the longest time!

I just a girl, who seems to follow Gary around a lot. So, it appears I need to get a life! I think Riley is adorable and I want to hug him. My condo doesn’t allow dogs. 🙁

Maltipoo – love it! My dad has springerdoodles, but it all got so much more fun when they started using the ‘poo’ bit for names!
