The pandemic was an unexpected path (not just for me) that led to something different than what I had planned for retirement. So was an experience from years ago that gave me experience that came in handy years later. Whatever happens has value – sometimes immediate, sometimes years later.

I find it comforting to believe that everything happens for a reason. The thought of randomness is much scarier.
It’s just hard for me to believe it’s random.
