Well, you wouldn’t call Casablanca a traditionally romantic film, and it doesn’t have a happy ending, really. So it’s not a traditional Valentine’s Day film. But, it does point out the selfless nature of love. Now, I’m not advocating selfless romantic love all the time, and certainly not when it means being parted from one you love. Lord knows, I am not interested in that. Not at all.
