Odds and Ends

June 5, 2009

I was thinking today about the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam. I spent a great cuople hours there about five years ago. Love VVG. Just thought I’d post this.

A few different topics floating around today.

I zipped off for a little shopping spree for FLH’s birthday. I’m taking him away someplace special next week, for 5 days of festivities. But I also have a nice big load of presents for him. He is absolutely adorable and I can’t wait to give them to him. He’ll be glad I didn’t pay full price for any of it, either. Oh, the sales!!

Crate & Barrel finally opened in Tampa, our first store here. I am a big C&B fan and had a gift card I finally got to use at the sale this week. I bought a couple things for me but also some gifts. And got some great decor ideas for our potential new home.

The girlfriends are calling in today, en masse. Lunches, coffee and other fun events being planned.

Several initiated discussions about my recent posts on women and their dysfunctional behavior.

The consensus is that by mid-life, women ought to know better than to behave like that. And that it’s a waste of energy.

I think they’re right.

No one else relates to the NJ Housewives like I do, though. (I think my friends have better taste in TV, perhaps!)

I’m sleepy this afternoon. Went to the doctor yesterday at FLH’s insistence, about this dry cough that remains. She gave me an inhaler that I was too klutzy to figure out yesterday.

I tried it this afternoon and think I got some inhaled. Maybe.

Riley is going to class at 7:30pm. This will be his fourth time taking “Basic Obedience” from Miss Marilyn. He can’t really “graduate” until he comes consistently off leash. Yes, he has been held back.

Well, that’s it for now. Nothing much shakin’ right now.
