Ok, who’s got an Ipad?

August 16, 2011

The most ubiquitous product at BlogHer ’11 wasn’t a pair of Jimmy Choo heels or a Louis Vuitton bag.

It was an Ipad. With keyboard accessory of one brand or another.

What, you think bloggers can actually write on a touchscreen? No way. Keyboard required.

Now, I love my new, huge, mother-blinkin’ Imac that sits in my office. Crazy ’bout it.

And I love my MacBook Pro, even though it’s getting beat to hell as it ends its third year with me.

But I am madly in love with the portability of the Ipad….

I’ve been resisting, because, let’s face it, I don’t travel like I did in my working days. My laptop’s been serviceable enough for my purposes. But lugging it to BlogHer’11 sessions along with my pocketbook and the vibrators, soap samples and cake pops in my swag bag was…not fun. I don’t want to lug it to Morocco in March.

To make it even more tempting, there are several good cross-computer file access options. I use Dropbox right now, but I also heard good things about Sugarsync for access to files on other computers.

Last week, hubby asked why I didn’t have an Ipad.

Do you have one? What do you think? And what do you use for cross-computer file access?
