One thing you can fake. In fact, you SHOULD fake it.
January 10, 2012
What if you sat down for coffee with a girlfriend and she started the conversation by telling you that she’d identified 16 universal principles for happiness and success?
It would make an interesting discussion, wouldn’t it? That’s what it’s like to read The Diva Doctrine: 16 Universal Principles Every Woman Needs to Know? by Patricia V. Davis.
Maybe she’d start out by telling you that you are 10 times prettier than you think you are, no matter how pretty you think you are. I’ll bet she’d tell you why that’s true.
And maybe she’d tell you that the only thing you should be faking is confidence. And then tell you why, and exactly how to do it without coming off as arrogant.
I think you’d like this book. Want to win a free copy? Patricia is making one or two copies available as prizes in a contest. To enter, go to yesterday’s contest post HERE. Comment on that post. Or, on my Facebook post. Or my Google+ post.
One lucky winner –two if we have at least 20 entrants–will be drawn randomly this Sunday.
Here’s the question:
If you could go back in time and tell your younger self only ONE thing, what would it be?
Grown up women: share your wisdom with other readers….and good luck! Click to answer in comments section HERE, or post on my Facebook or Google+ posts. Oh, and be sure you have an email address (or email me one) so if you’re chosen, I can find you!
PS No, I’m not getting paid to do this. I’m doing it because I want you to have this very good advice. And to think about what YOU have to offer other women–what are YOUR success factors?
PPS Once you’ve responded, check out what other women have said on earlier posts. Just scroll to yesterday.
Here you’ll find my blog, some of my essays, published writing, and my solo performances. There’s also a link to my Etsy shop for healing and grief tools offered through A Healing Spirit.
I love comments, so if something resonates with you in any way, don’t hesitate to leave a comment on my blog. Thank you for stopping by–oh, and why not subscribe so you don’t miss a single post?
Thank you so much for the shout out. I will be tweeting this!
