You don’t have to be a lesbian to …

July 10, 2009

Ok, so I just had to share this.

In an interview with comedienne Carol Leifer, who came out as a lesbian at age 40, I read this:

AOL Health: What are the differences between being in a relationship with a woman instead of a man?

Leifer: In my relationships with men, whenever a woman says we have to sit down and talk the walls come up and the guy freaks out. With two women it’s like, “Hey, let’s pop the champagne.” We could go all night talking. Talking is never a problem. In fact, it can get to be too much because it’s two verbal people.

What’s cool is that I have that exact thing with FLH — and I don’t even have to be lesbian to have it! It’s true, too. He’s verbal and he’s ok with talking about stuff.

Whew! I am so relieved that I don’t have to be a lesbian to have a talking relationship!

(Still laughing …)
