Practice makes perfect

June 6, 2009

The handyman is here, doing a few things around the casita.

Riley doesn’t like strangers to come around and has a particularly hysterical bark when they do. Especially when they are real big and wielding noisy drills.

However, the magic air+citronella spritz stops those barks instantly. Pet Corrector. An ingenious product.

However, he began replacing the bark with a soft (but annoying) whine that he hoped wouldn’t qualify as a bark.

All I had to do was pick up the red bottle and he stopped. At least momentarily.

He then let out a test bark. Just to see what would happen.

I’m telling you, he is definitely a smart little guy who likes to test Mama’s limits.

Even when he’s being bad, he’s entertaining and cute.

Which is why he’s gotten away with so much. When even his trainer falls for it (at least a little), does Mama even have a chance?

We’ll see. I am determined to work with him on his behavior.
