Reincarnation, soul families & life

October 23, 2011

They will come back and come back again,
as long as the red Earth rolls.
He never wasted a leaf or a tree.
Do you think He would squander souls?
-Rudyard Kipling

This is what I believe
and I am as convinced of it
as I am that the sun rises in the east.

Here’s a step further.
I believe in the concept of soul families:
a group of souls with whom we regularly incarnate.
Souls to whom we’re spiritually connected and
are physically connected here in the world.

If there’s someone in your life
toward whom you feel a strong pull,
a pull that’s not explained by romantic
love or anything else, that person
could be part of your soul family.

I’ve known for a long time that one
of my ex-husbands is a member of
my soul family, although I didn’t have
a word for it until last year.
I recognized our strong bond
but it wasn’t a marital one.
{In some ways, it is even stronger.}

When I think about the people
in my life I suspect a few more
are members of my soul family.

Look around.
Do you recognize your own soul family?
