Rest Your Love on Me

July 20, 2009

When you’ve spent a lifetime making your own way, being strong, you get used to carrying your burden alone.

It’s not that I didn’t have men in my life. I just didn’t have a full-equity partner. And that’s a fact.

Michael is a full-equity partner. When he said “for better or worse,” he meant it. And so did I.

This song so perfectly epitomizes my husband. I heard this song while we were first talking about meeting again. I never knew how much I needed this kind of love until he came back into my life. Michael regularly puts my head on his shoulder, takes my worries and puts them in his pocket–and that’s a gift that no one else has ever given me.

He is so amazing. I’m sure it’s not possible to love a man more than I love him.
