searching
When I saw this the other day, I was struck by its truth.

I’m just going to leave it here and ask what you think about it.

Finding that one special person is definitely not easy. When it’s meant to be, you will meet them and not a minute sooner.

  2. GiGi Eats says:

You have to love yourself before anyone else can love you!!!

  3. tamsin says:

Don’t search for love.. it will find you when you least expect it?

  4. Wow. This is so intense. I am wrapping my mind around it in so many ways. The people I have loved and lost, yes I guess I’m searching for them. And I suppose I get disappointed when others don’t measure up to what I’m looking for. Which is my failure and perhaps needs to be addressed. One sentence so much power. Thank you Carol, disappointed when others don’t measure up to what I’m looking for. Which is my failure and perhaps needs to be addressed. One sentence so much power. Thank you Carol.

This is kinda what hubby and I have been talking about a lot. We feel like we’ve always looked for each other, we knew what we wanted and needed and that is what we give to each other – we were just looking for it in the wrong people until we found each other… by pure chance!

  6. Jessica Taylor says:

I absolutely love that quote! Finding someone special is hard, and sometimes holding onto them is even harder!

  7. Marilyn mcmanus says:

This reminded me what Harville Hendrix talks about in his book, Getting The Love You Want. We look for things we needed, but were missing in our parents. We assume that another person is going to complete us, but that is not the case!

  8. Jennifer says:

It reminds me of the saying, “you don’t know what you have until it’s gone.” When in a relationship, it’s so important to value your partner and cherish them. You never know if you’ll lose them and it would be heartbreaking to miss out on all of their love and what makes them so special.

  9. tara pittman says:

What a great thinking quote. I need to keep this one in my head.

  10. Amber Myers says:

This is a great quote. I think it means that it can be tough to find someone, but it can happen. If you really found someone to love but you move on, then you might always be searching for the person you’re supposed to be with.

  11. Sapana V says:

I completely agree with this. No further words can explain the deepest feeling when we actually got attached to a person and they leave.

  12. Laurie Stone says:

To me, it means you’re special and not easily replaced.

  13. Ravi says:

It all starts with Self Love. Every individual is unique. No one can replace the uniqueness of anyone.

  14. Chloe says:

Sometimes people think the grass is greener, but really they just haven’t watered their garden in some time. Finding the right person isn’t easy, that’s for sure!

  15. What an amazing quote. I think looking for love is so hard. I hadn’t known my husband for 20 years before I realised that he had been infront of me the Whole time.

  16. Ali Rost says:

To me it says love lost. The person who was left is pining and looking for the one who did the leaving. And from then on they will compare every lover to the one who left and the others will always come up short

  17. I think it means we are all unique individuals that only exist as ourselves and no one else will ever be like you. We often seek out relationships that remind us of unfinished business with others, but we are all so different and special like snowflakes that we have to appreciate each other as different people.

  18. Elizabeth O. says:

Very well said. There will always be just one us and no one can change that fact. We can meet people with similar interests or tastes, but we will never find someone who is exactly the same.

  19. Sondra Barker says:

Such a powerful quote! I find this to be very true with many lost relationships, sometimes we take someone for granted until they are not there anymore, and some love gets lost.

  20. Shirley says:

I love these quotes, they are so wonderful. I agree that its not easy to find soul mate.

  21. kelly reci says:

searching could be hard some times, but waiting for the right person is much better! True love waits~

  22. It’s a pretty intense statement about broken love. And I think all of us tend to do it a bit with first loves. We romanticize them and seek something of what that was in another person for the rest of our lives. And that’s not always a good thing.

  23. Gábor says:

Why would you leave someone when you will be looking for him after anyway… And if you got left by somebody, why would you look for him again anyway..

  24. Neha Saini says:

What ever is meant for yo, you’ll get that at right time.

  25. blair villanueva says:

    I find this quote depressing.
If someone truly loves you, that person wont mold you to be someone (his ideal) because each person is different.

  26. Jason says:

I think this is life after death..there are some people who recognise the worth after the person have died. Im good with explanation but hope you get my point.Cheers x

  27. Just what I needed right now!! thank you so much. i really hope this is true, it would be an awesome change

  28. DEEP! These words can mean so much. But i also feel maybe someone finds you but still loves someone else and is trying to make you like that person. Just my thoughts on it….

  29. Well this is kinda sad. It’s like thinking about the one that got away. At least that’s how it sounds to me.

  30. Julie Syl says:

Some scientific studies suggest that a loving relationship, physical touch and sex can bring health benefits such as lower blood pressure.

  31. Britta says:

I think it means that everyone is unique. That you have attributes no one else has. That everyone is precious and worth getting to know.

  32. Michelle Waller says:

I think this quote is amazing. It is hard to find true love, and you may not even get it right on the first try. When you find that special person, you will know it.

  33. Danielle says:

When you find someone good, you should do everything to keep them because you’re not likely to find all of the exact same traits in anyone else. That’s what makes us all unique.

  34. Nikki Leigh says:

I don’t think anyone should search for love. You never find what you’re looking for when you’re looking. Create friendships but don’t try to make them into the love of your life. If it is meant to happen, it will develop naturally but forcing it is a bad idea.

  35. They will never find you in someone else because you are special, we are all special. There is no comparison between each individual. Love the quote. It raises a smile on my face!

  36. Our Family World says:

I think this is about how people perceive you to be. Sometimes we go about our lives pretending to be someone we are not. It is sad that some people die without having to be who they really are.

  37. Payastyle says:

People always say to stop looking for love and it will find you. And I believe in those words. It happened to me 🙂

  38. KATHY MYERS says:

So true, then they will come back begging. So sad people don’t realize what they got till it is gone!

  39. katrina gehman says:

i have been in love a few times and it has never been when i was looking for it. it will come when it’s ready too. nothing you can force.

  40. Annemarie LeBlanc says:

I love this quote. For me it meant that there are people who changed you in such a way that it would fit their expectations and this made you turn away so you can be the real you. But when they try and win you back, the person they created is no longer there. Just my two cents. This really happens.

  41. E H says:

I am not sure how this applies to love. Maybe I just don’t understand. Seems like the quote is a little sad, the way I understand it – someone is searching for love and doesn’t find it – I don’t want it to be true. I want people to find love when they are searching for it. Otherwise, we will have a lot of sad souls. Pursuit for love is eternal, and there should always be hope.

  42. Stacey says:

Hmm, trying to find someone in someone else. This has actually happened to me, it will never work

  43. Interesting, to me it means the grass is not greener. That the one you are with or who left will search for you in others and not find you or your characteristics and will one day be sorry.

  44. AMy says:

Its a very meaningful quote. To me, it makes me think about trying to change someone into who you want them to be.

  45. Lindsey says:

to me, it suonds like a lost love. once that has broken down and you are searching for it in all the wrong places.

  46. Jules says:

The way I interpret this quote is to stop hoping and wasting time on someone that doesn’t see your worth. It’s so easy to love someone that doesn’t see you the same way. Like if you fall for someone and they love your personality and everything else about you but they don’t want to be with you, instead they keep searching for someone like you, just not you.

  47. Karen Jolly says:

Yes they can’t find you in another individual because each of us is unique. Finding the one you love can be complicated.

  48. G&D Blog says:

This sounds painful, doesn’t it? Another sad but real thing that we need to know, but this doesn’t mean that we will stop looking for that right person. I believe that it’s a matter of contentment of whoever and whatever the person is.

  49. blair villanueva says:

Sometimes you have to find that love and not wait for it. Time flies so fast. You have to haunt for love or wait for nothing.
