Look. There’s a lot of pain in the world and a whole bunch of it is caused by how people treat one another.

We pay lip service to the Golden Rule, but how often do we actually practice it?

For some of us, the answer is “not nearly enough.”

That’s partly because we focus on our differences: political, spiritual, social, economic — whatever they are

Why not focus instead on our commonalities: we’re all human beings trying to get through this together.

It’s not so hard to see the light in others.

It’s there.

We just need to start noticing:

Their thoughtfulness.

Kindness.

Compassion.

Sweet nature.

All there if we pay attention.

And once we do?

Better put on our shades, because that light is BLINDING!
