What a beautiful saying! When you see yourself as the sky and everything else as the weather, then the saying, ‘This too shall pass” becomes the truth. I’ve subscribed to this blog as I have a feeling that there is a lot to learn!
I am so glad!
I totally agree with you! It is time that we took our failures as momentary setbacks and not end of the world for us!
Yes, all things must pass.
Great advice – I am learning this more and more! What other advice do you have?

Hello! Just look around at previous posts, I think you’ll find LOTS of advice! ;=-)
Love this reflection, Carol.
“…opportunities in disguise…” That is so true, isn’t it? Do you think that maybe that is what we have to come to learn–internalize, really–through our life experiences? By sweating the little things, do we somehow purge ourselves of that salty waste?
Oh, now that IS an interesting idea. Thank you for it!
Indeed. A lovely sentiment, for sure.
Thanks, KD.
This is amazing, Carol! And so profound! I love the thought that the things that happen in my life are just the weather. Perfect!
I’ve got a pretty good weather vane. You? 😉
Great way to look at the big picture…thanks for this inspiration, Carol. I’m way past midlife….but things still throw me. For today I am the sky….with beautiful, sunny weather!
We’re only human….
Things have been a little rough for me lately – just what I needed to read on this beautiful Saturday morning. Thank you!
I hope it eased things for a few minutes, Lana!
Oh, I like that, Carol. I am the Sky…… I am working on returning to my good vibes attitude. Thanks for a little bump of positivity. 🙂
;-))) you’re welcome!
This is a beautiful saying. To add..If I am the Sky, and everything else is the weather, then I hope that the earth is my attitude to grow from the weather I endure. Thank you for sharing.
I love that.
Yes.
I love this quote and I could use it often when things are going haywire!
Feel free, Ms. Sky!
“You are the sky. Everything else is the weather” — Although I never put it so artfully, I think this is a life lesson I somehow learned early on. The way I put it was, “No matter what, you’ll always be there.” For some reason, I found that comforting.
I know what you mean.
I was going a bit crazy this morning trying to come up with something, anything to help a young woman who is struggling to find a reason to live.
This will help.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
I hope it did. Hugs to you, Doreen!
So lovely Carol. Great advice!
Thanks, Nancy!
