Smile

January 28, 2012
One of the best things about being in Tampa this week
is how people on the street smile and greet me.
People I don’t know.
It doesn’t happen that often in the San Francisco Bay area.

The simple gift of a smile and a “hello” can make someone’s day.

So true, Carol. Robert always waved to passers-by in our Cherokee. After he left for The Better World, folks would still lift a friendly finger or two from the wheel as I passed. Sorry to say, I broke them of the habit. But face-to-face, I’m friendly as a pineapple squeeze in Waikiki. Or a farmer in fly-over.
