I’m not really adventurous when it comes to food. I guess goat head soup when I was a kid.
There are some things I will not eat – like cricket powder. I saw it on Chopped once and was almost gagging. I have eaten Escargot and actually loved it.
The strangest, albeit tasty and healthy, meal I’ve eaten is guinea pig and quinoa with urine-cured cheese. It was 1979, I’d just arrived in Cuzco by train after driving for months from Canada to Perú.
I’ve noshed other oddities–from frogs and cockroaches, to turtle, snake, gator and giraffe–but the Cuzco combo takes the cake.
I know I’ve never had cricket powder! Eek!
I’m not sure what the strangest thing would be. Maybe octopus? I gave it a taste and was not impressed. The texture was all wrong.
Do you know I don’t think I’ve really eaten anything strange. I’m not very adventurous when it comes to food.
Strangest food? Maybe sushi. I don’t like odd food LOL
Hmm… I’m really picky when it comes to strange food so I’m not sure I’ve ever eaten anything really odd.
I never heard of cricket powder but I am willing to try it, is it healthy for you? I have eaten sea urchinwhich is as far as I have gone.
Never had cricket powder. Had brains and different kinds of bugs like crickets, ants, grasshoppers etc. Has to get past the nose test so I can eat it.
I’m super picky when it comes to food so I wouldnt ever try anything strange. My husband though would try anything.
Funny thing-my answer is cricket flour made into a bar. I hated it! I could not get past the idea of eating ground bugs no matter how healthy it was.
Oh my, cricket powder doesn’t sound appealing to me at all. I’m somewhat particular about what I eat and can’t think of anything strange at the moment.
i think for me it has to be calamari. I will probably never eat it again, too!
I cannot eat anything like cricket power, but my husband would probably be excited to try it. Sounds nutritious though,
Probably raw salmon. I like my fish pretty cooked. I am not very adventurous when it comes to food. I could never win a food challenge because my gag reflex is pretty bad! LOL!
I don’t think I have ever eaten anything super strange? Maybe some alligator in Florida once??
Crocodile meat, it was a trip to Florida. I think that’s about the strangest food that I’ve eaten and nothing else.
I love food, so I’m not sure about the strangest food that I’ve eaten because I don’t mind trying them all. I’ve never had anything like worms or insects or anything loke that though.
You are right, strangest food is cultural and what maybe starnge to me may not be to you and vice versa. I have eaten pretty strange but yummy foods over the years and Mopani worms take the cake haha
What’s the strangest food you’ve ever eaten?I know I’ve never had cricket powder.
I am a food lover. But never tried anything strange. Sorry I love usual foods rather the strange ones.
I have eaten Baby Shark Curry when I was on my trip. I will never try this again, too
Now we will use cricket powder?????? yukhhh
