Time flies in the pottery studio

September 28, 2009

I spent two afternoons in Diana’s pottery studio and can’t tell you where the time went.

Rolling, shaping, molding, scraping cutting clay is a soul-soothing way to spend time.

Nothing on my mind but the clay.

It’s not that I was creating great art.

I was whiling quiet, sunny afternoons away doing something basic and grounding. Learning something new. Playing like a child with her Play-Doh.

It was just what I needed.
