Trust your wings

February 19, 2013
Do those things you love to do
before they become something
you would have loved to have done.

No matter your age,
time marches on.
That’s not reserved for those of us past mid-life.

Oh, I know.
It seems like we have forever.
But we don’t, at least not on this earth.

So if there’s something we want to do
it behooves us to do it
sooner
rather than
later.

Good health
and more time
are not guaranteed.

Shit happens.

So find a way to do what you love to do
and do that now.

Trust me, there is a way.

And don’t be afraid to step off and fly.

Because, like the sign says:
your wings are so much stronger than you know.
Trust them.

I love this poem – impressive to put into words exactly what I, and others, need to do. Thanks for the reminder.

I am going to forward this toy husband…he is always putting off things that make himself happy because he feels selfish. He could benefit from this little reminder.

I needed to read this today Middle Aged Diva. Thanks! Now…if i could only add about 6-8 hours to my day, I could do it all!

On the serious side, I have many blank canvas’ that need paint on them and art tablets to fill. This week, I shall create one piece of art. 🙂
