Uncertain moorings

Beach Scene / Bonnie Fields

Such an evocative water color — I can’t stop looking at it.
I see three people out on the water, lost in the fog.

The concept of uncertain moorings comes to mind,
those times in life when we feel disconnected from our world,
at loose ends.
When it feels like we’ll never reach firm ground.

Seems like many people feel that way today
with jobs and homes at risk.
Their whole way of life has been turned upside down.

It’s a lot to adjust to.

And it’s not like we see much evidence of things getting better.
Just little hints here and there.

I don’t know what it’ll take to turn things around
sooner rather than later.
