Uncommonly good Uncommon Goods

November 1, 2016

Think DIFFERENT this holiday!  This is a sponsored post for a company whose products I love. I know you’ll love them, too.

If you’re like me, you don’t want to give common holiday gifts. No, if you’re like me, you want to give UN-common holiday gifts. Enter Uncommon Goods, an online retail outlet for unique gifts I know well. I have written about and bought from this site for several years. I love it. It’s aptly named for its uncommon goods.

There are a lot of cool reasons to holiday shop there, including how budget-friendly the high-quality products are, but I’m going to begin with some of the coolest. reasons: the products. I mean, THE PRODUCTS!  They’re incredibly cool and there is something for everyone. Let me show you just a few:

Holiday Gifts for men

Absolutely a challenge because the men I know are hard to buy for. But how about some unique, high quality products they can have fun with? Click on any of these Uncommon Goods to see details.

Necktie roll

This $24 necktie travel roll is the perfect gift for the traveling man. Perfect.

If your guy is into cocktails, a few interesting ideas: A barrel-aged cocktail kit allows him to mature his own oak-aged, small batch cocktails. And then, of course, drink them!  There’s also an absinthe-making kit, a home-made gin kit and other unique gifts for the cocktail lover in your life.

If booze isn’t his gig, how about a beard pack to keep his facial hair in peak condition? A set of bicycle glasses?  I love this hand tools utensil set. An upcycled tent Dopp kit for the camper. Nifty ridged glass guitar picks. And bottle openers of all themes. So much more. Just click HERE for more holiday gifts for men.

Under $25

This is one of my favorite categories at Uncommon Goods. No need to break the bank to get fabulous and fun presents.   Love this solar photography kit. For under $15!  This bed- or couch-side essentials pocket has my name all over it for $20. I need it to keep my messy living space organized.

Who doesn’t like to save time? A 45-second omelet maker. Easy.  And a yummy caramel sampler set? I know who would love that. I also know who would like something else:  Chakra bath salts.  How about a pocket-sized prompt book so you can tell your mom just what you love about her. I know lots of you would LOVE this.

45-second omelet maker

This banned book morph mug has to be seen to be believed–I am going to buy it for someone–at $12 it’s a bargain.  So is this soup pot favor infuser. I’ve never seen one before. And ok, get this: organic catnip fortune cookies–seriously. Your kitty will love you for it!  And give your college grad seed money:  seed-infused paper coins. So clever.

There are so many I don’t have room to write about them all but click here for all the under $25 gifts–because any of them would make super holiday gifts for the people you love.

Ok, now, another reason I shop at Uncommon Goods.  Its goal is to feature unique gifts that are created in harmony with the environment–no harm to animals or people. Based in Brooklyn, the lowest-paid seasonal worker starts at 50% above minimum wage. Half of the products are hand-made and most of the jewelry, home décor and tabletop items US made. About one-third of the entire collection incorporates recycled and/or upcycled materials.

Uncommon Goods believes in using business to impact the world in a positive way. That’s why it supports numerous nonprofits, including the nations’ largest anti-sexual violence organization, programs to respect and restore forests, international humanitarian and early literacy efforts.

Unique, high-quality, budget-friendly gifts by a company that owns its responsibility to its workers and the world. Why NOT shop at Uncommon Goods this holiday and all year!
