How to make & use an effective vision board

January 20, 2020

Oh, I know, vision boards may seem kind of, well, ethereal. Are they worth making? Do they really work? And how the heck do I create one?

First, I’ll confess that I’ve been making vision boards for nearly two decades and yes, they work. Yes yes yes. They work because the act of making one, of really envisioning what your heart desires, is the first step in focusing on your goals.

The vision board in the image above is more than 10 years old–it’s one of mine. Most things on it have come true.

And guess what? My friend, Jennifer, has an instruction book for vision boards, explaining how to make a good one, what you will need to create it and then, how to use it.  She speaks from experience–she has used vision boards to help manifest her own dreams.

It’s called A Practical Guide to Goal Planning & Vision Boards and that’s what it is: practical. You can implement her tips immediately.

I love her ideas. She presents them in simple, easy to digest terms and gives you everything you need to know to make your vision board work well for you. I thought I knew all about vision boards until I read her book–and discovered some really neat and new ideas!

If you’re thinking about visioning and don’t know where to start with your own vision board, this is a definitive guide with everything you need to know.

You can find it on Amazon right here and yes, an affiliate link. I hope you’ll take a look.

And if you’d like to add a manifestation candle to your visioning activities, find a really pretty one here.

My vision board is now my Instagram account. I save favorites and love scrolling through the beautiful sayings, animals, interiors, and everything else that gives me pleasure and inspiration.

  2. For 2020, I created a digital vision board and have it on my PC and phone (wallpaper), but I also have a frame for the print out (when I get around to going to the print shop!). VBs work!
