Where fashion + function meet

October 15, 2010

Sunglasses are more than a fashion accessory: they’re a necessity for good eye health. Here’s something I hadn’t thought about when I was younger: The sun’s UV rays can damage the cornea, lens and other parts of your eye. And can contribute to the development of cataracts. Who knew?

Shades can also keep you looking younger. They prevent you from squinting in the sun, and squinting causes those dreaded crow’s feet and other facial wrinkles.

Larger lenses–or wraparounds–provide more protection than smaller shades. And lucky us–large frames are in style!

So when driving or anytime you’re in the sun, don’t forget your shades. A simple thing with multiple benefits.
