Why a 12-step program is unnecessary for addiction to Purell

So I got sick after both California trips. I was ungodly sick in May and into June–fever and in bed more than a week. Bad stuff.

Then, last week, I got a sore throat and sinus infection, no fever. I did NOT feel well.

Aggravating. I haven’t been sick in years.

Now, FLH says that we should not overly scrub and sanitize, so we build up immunity. When I travel, on the other hand, I am addicted to Purell liquid and wipes. I say my entire ABCs when I wash my hands, too, just like they tell you to.

Lot of good it did me.

I was perusing an interesting flight attendant blog tonight and came across a relevant post. One that may account for my getting sick.

FLH, my love, if we are going to travel as much as we plan to, I do think you should sanitize more obsessively, and here’s why:
