Work can be about Love

February 12, 2009

Maybe Im carrying this peace/love generation thing too far, but I don’t think I am at all. It’s just where I’m at these days. Really, it’s where I’ve always been at.

Here’s the deal:

I’ve worked with and for crazy people, political people, cut-throat people, unethical people, manipulative people–and it always bites them in the ass at some point. And now, we’re seeing all sorts of fallout from that kind of behavior –Madoff, for sure, but also those huge CEO bonuses, paid on the backs of people who are over-mortgaged and soon to be broke.

Positioning, politics, power plays–I have no patience for them. No more. It’s misery and life is just too short to have to deal with it every day.

If more people remembered to do their work in love, I think the world would be a helluva lot better off.

Love is a good thing, no matter where or how it is applied.
