I love Aussies–we have a Sheltie, our second, and they’re somewhat related (both descended from border collies). Beautiful dogs, with amazing personalities.

I have only known one Aussie…she wanted attention constantly. And yes she was a great hugger! I don’t really have a hugging dog of my own right now…all my dogs like being petting but are not into hugging. I wish I had an Aussie!
My friend has had Aussies and they are great. I had a Rottweiler and an Irish Wolfhound and when the Wolfhound died the Rottweiler actually took on some of her habits that he had never done before. It was odd like he was trying to fill the void.
I just love the Aussie shepherd!
