Ok, so candy is NOT good for V-Day.

However, a really great red velvet Valentine’s Day cupcake from a fabulous cupcake bakery is pretty darn romantic.
I made red velvet cupcakes on Christmas Eve year before last. Cream cheese frosting Oh, they were good! And they looked so Martha-Stewart-y on a plate tower.

I think I like them better than devil’s food.

I had to fight Riley off, because red velvet cupcakes have cocoa in them. (No wonder they’re so good.) Chocolate is a no-no for dogs.

But red velvet cupcakes –a big YES for V-Day.
