Arolithos, Greece. Sun-washed and idyllic. Peaceful and charming. But I’ll let the photos tell the story from my trip in May.
One of my fellow travelers was taking this same shot. “I love angles,” she told me. I love them, too, especially when they are colorful. This view is pretty spectacular.
I know there’s a story behind this, and I should’ve asked. But I was just drinking it all in.
My travel agent asked me to send him my favorite photo. This might be it, at least so far. Or, maybe it’s the angles. Or…
Spring in Greece. The abundant flowers remind me of spring at home in northern California.
The colors. How do they get just the right hues?
I love a little flower-filled niche.
This pretty little courtyard gave me ideas for my patio.
I don’t think I’ve ever seen a place that has such beautifully composed scenes around every corner.
The village was pretty quiet, that day.
I wonder what’s behind that red door….
When my father was alive, he told us we were of Greek descent, and our surname was once spelled with a K. We haven’t validated that yet, but now, I’m inspired to.
Wouldn’t it be lovely to live in a colorful little Greek village like this? And see these gorgeous hues every single day? This place is etched in my mind now. I’m glad I have the photos to make my memories come alive.
