A busy day for me.

FHL has a conference call the moment we get home from the airport this afternoon. Oh, the life of a banking lawyer when the entire financial system is melting down.

That means all the little things we like to do together, a visit to Whole Foods, picking up his clothes at the dry cleaner, sitting on the patio waxing eloquent with Riley, well, I have to do them alone this morning.

I know. The injustice of it all.

Worse: Riley’s begun to cough. I’m sure he didn’t catch what I have, but he clearly got kennel cough when he boarded. This happened last time, too, despite his twice-yearly vaccinations.

He loves hanging with other dogs, and I don’t have a cost effective alternative, so I guess I’m stuck with this situation. We have another trip planned in two weeks.

Well, I really MUST begin my duties. Practice, you know.
