Asia SF

June 15, 2009

A restaurant where all the waitresses are gorgeous Asian transsexuals. Every hour they do a show.

Oh, and the food’s pretty ok, too.

Turns out that Skip, one of the owner-partners, grew up 8 houses over from FLH in Coral Gables, so it was like Old Home Week while we waited for dinner.

Skip looks like Andy Warhol, and spent quite a bit of time chatting us up. His most fun question was “Do you know anyone with money?”

I looked at FLH, he looked at me.

Turns out, Skip is looking for a partner for his Hollywood project. An investor. We talked quite a while about how FLH might help find one. And a media pitch I might help with.

Move over, Housewives! Skip also told us that a reality show about the place is being pitched to a cable network whose name I shall keep secret for now.

It was fun watching FLH at work. He’s completely flirtatious. But in an equal opportunity way–both men and women, straight and gay. He’s just flirtatious.

And very, very secure in his alpha male identity.

In the old days, it was Finocchios.

Today? Asia SF.

A uniquely San Francisco experience.
